Terms for using the service

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Notice. If you create an account for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

DogSphere helps people discover dog-friendly places and organise optional dog-care information. Listings, opening details, access rules, reviews, maps, and community contributions can change quickly. We aim to make information useful, but it is not a promise that a venue is open, suitable, safe, or currently dog-friendly.

Always check time-sensitive information directly with a venue before travelling. Dog profiles, reminders, and vaccination records are organisational tools only; they are not veterinary, medical, insurance, safety, or emergency advice.

• Provide accurate account information and keep your password and device access secure.
• You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you promptly tell us about unauthorised use.
• Keep the information in your profile and any business claim accurate and current.
• You may not use another person's account, attempt to bypass access controls, or interfere with the service.

You keep ownership of content you submit, such as reviews, corrections, photos, claims, and place information. By submitting it, you give DogSphere a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting and accessibility, moderate, publish, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the service. This licence ends for unpublished content when it is deleted, subject to legitimate archival, legal, audit, and backup needs.

You promise that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not infringe rights, disclose confidential information, contain unlawful material, or mislead other users. We may review, edit for clarity, decline, remove, or preserve content and claims where reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect users, meet legal obligations, or maintain trustworthy place data.

• Do not submit false, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, fraudulent, or spam content.
• Do not scrape, copy, republish, sell, or create a competing database from the service except where the law expressly allows it or we give written permission.
• Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorised access to the site, API, accounts, or data.
• Do not use the service to make decisions requiring professional veterinary, medical, legal, or safety advice.

The service can link to venues, map providers, image hosts, and other third-party sites. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices; we do not control or endorse them. Where advertising or affiliate relationships are introduced, they will be presented as advertising or otherwise disclosed. See our Advertising Disclosure.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, content, or access where reasonably necessary. We will make material changes to these terms by posting an updated version with a new date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms, except where law requires a different process.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties that listings, content, integrations, or results will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply. Otherwise, the law and courts connected with the service operator’s registered establishment will apply to the extent permitted by law.
